The Royal Akarana Yacht Club is once again hosting the biannual pilgrimage to Port Denarau Marina in Fiji and is inviting all interested Category 1 keelers and multihulls to join in the fun.

On the 4th June 2016 at 1100 hours, the cannon will be fired signalling the start to another 1,100 nautical mile race across the Pacific finishing in the ultimate party destination.

RAYC hosted the same race in 2014 and 22 entrants were received. The race is not without its challenges and isn’t for the faint hearted but is considered a major bucket list item for sailors across the country and internationally.

Registering your interest is simple. It takes less than 10 seconds, as long as you can remember your sail number!

So jump over to www.aucklandfiji.co.nz/register and make sure you are completely up to date with what’s happening.
