As the ANZ Sail Fiji approaches this Saturday, Giacomo will be finishing its last minute preparations.

With a successful year and hopefully more to come, we can successfully look at what we have achieved:
– Coastal Classic 2015
– The Devonport Yacht Club trophy (First Monohull to finish)
– Cookson IRC Trophy
– Gold Cup Passage Series (5 Races)
– Overall Line Honours
– Night Race To Kawau
– Overall Line Honours

The ANZ Sail Fiji is one of New Zealand’s most iconic yacht races.

What officially started in 1956 with 13 entries has now been run over 20 times. Although all sailors seem calm and steady, nerves are still running wild.

Giacomo has been through a full service. With the breakage of the original mast, we are now fitted with a new state of the art rig. This time with 4 spreaders. Winches are serviced, safety exquipment is ready and all crew is rearing to go.

We wish all yachts competing in this years ANZ Sail Fiji the best of luck. We hope everything goes as planned and a safe trip to the warmer weather. We look forward to gathering together and looking back on what everyone has achieved.

Giacomo
